refund policy

last updated 2026-10-30. effective 2026-10-31 (12:00 AM Eastern). operator: PixelMint LLC, contact [offers@maxi.domains](mailto:offers@maxi.domains).

launch phase: until Jan 3, 2027, maxi.domains sells only its own (house) domains. PixelMint LLC is the seller, you pay our own wallet directly, and no multisig payment is involved. third-party listings, seller accounts and the 2-of-3 multisig settlement open on Jan 3, 2027; the parts of this page about them apply only from that date.

bitcoin payments cannot be reversed, so every refund is a new bitcoin transaction. you enter the refund address (twice) on your private order page. this policy is part of the terms of service; for third-party domains the payment protection terms also apply.

how a refund is made

  • third-party domains (2-of-3 multisig settlement): a refund is signed by you and PixelMint LLC: you sign it in your wallet and upload it, and we co-sign and broadcast it. it sends everything that arrived at the order's multisig payment address to your refund address. we cannot send a refund without your signature, and we cannot move the funds held in the order's multisig payment address on our own.
  • house domains (direct sale): we send the refund from our own wallet.
  • the network fee of the refund comes out of the refund (the buyer pays it). if that fee would be more than 10% of the amount, we check with you first.

you get a full refund (minus the network fee) when

  • the seller has not pushed the domain 7 days after being asked;
  • the domain cannot be pushed (for example a registrar lock, a transfer ban, or the domain expired or was sold elsewhere);
  • in a bundle, any domain has not been delivered 14 days after your payment funded the order (bundles are all-or-nothing: the whole payment comes back and the seller receives nothing);
  • a dispute is decided for you (disputes are all-or-nothing: the whole payment, never part of it);
  • you paid after your order expired or was cancelled.

overpayments

  • house domains: we refund the excess, minus the network fee.
  • third-party domains: the multisig payment pays out everything that arrived, so we cannot return only the excess. if you paid too much, don't sign the release: open a dispute, and we will co-sign a refund of the whole payment (minus the network fee). you can then buy again at the right amount.

no refund once

  • for third-party domains: you have signed the release, or the release was signed after the 3-day fallback described in the payment protection terms, and it was broadcast. from then on the sale is final.
  • for house domains: the domain has arrived in your registrar account.
  • you gave us the wrong registrar account and the push went through to it. we will help you recover it, but the sale still goes ahead.

how long it takes

we aim to co-sign and broadcast a refund within 2 business days after you have signed it (or, for house domains, after a confirmed refund request). you see the transaction id on your order page and by email.
